We would like to invite anyone who has an interest in learning more about the Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range Railroad to become a member. We offer several levels of membership and they are listed below. It is your direct support that we need to continue to offer you information and everything Missabe - please consider joining today!
The MRHS also offers an annual convention, which is a weekend get-together that includes slide, video and movie shows, displays, tours, guest speakers, and a banquet. We also help the Lake Superior Railroad Museum get ready for their upcoming Summer season by having an Annual "Clean Team" event. It is traditionally the first Saturday in May. We clean for a couple of hours, have lunch provided, give you an opportunity to learn more about the Missabe and the MRHS!

The MRHS is a strong and energized organization of more than 300 members, dedicated to the preservation of the Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range Railway. Membership in the society brings many benefits, some tangible (like our quarterly Ore Extra) and many more intangible (knowing that you're a part of keeping the rich history of the DM&IR alive and well).
Membership entitles you to a subscription to our full-color quarterly Ore Extra magazine, as well as discounts on merchandise through our own Company Store and through some of our supporting merchants.
Membership Levels
NOTE: Annual memberships are renewed whenever you subscribe (rolling membership). You will then receive the next four issues of Ore Extra. Additional copies can be purchased through our company store. You will receive notice when your membership is up for renewal.
All annual membership levels include four issues of the Ore Extra, attendance privileges at MRHS membership events, and voting privileges at our annual MRHS membership meeting (one vote per membership).
Standard Membership - $35 - Standard MRHS members receive full-color printed copies of the Ore Extra.
Sustaining Membership - $50 - Sustaining MRHS members receive the same benefits as Standard MRHS members, but $15 is eligible for a tax deductible donation. Sustaining members’ names are printed in the Ore Extra to recognize their additional support for MRHS projects and objectives.
Contributing Membership - $100 - Contributing MRHS members demonstrate a greater level of financial support to the MRHS. Contributing members receive all the benefits of the Standard level of membership, but $75 is eligible for a tax deductible donation. Contributing members’ names are printed in the Ore Extra to recognize their exceptional support for MRHS projects and objectives.
Corporate Membership - $250 - Companies wishing to get their name out to the MRHS membership as a vendor with products members might be interested in and an opportunity to obtain information for future projects they want to come out with.
