Heritage 129 at Fairlane. Before Heritage units were all the rage, the DM&IR released SD9 129 from the Proctor paint shop in October 1990 wearing its as-delivered EMD designed paint scheme. A class act all the way around. Today it is rusting out-of-service on the Birmingham Terminal Railroad (shipped there - Birmingham Southern - in 1996 by the Missabe because its prime mover had quite a bit of life left).
