Models Available: Walthers makes good taconite cars that can be used as a starting point for this model. Hopper doors must be modified.

Application Notes: Series 1400-1469. Rebuilt from DM&IR ore cars of various classes in 1972 and 1978, these cars had special side extensions to increase capacity, and also received special Morrison-Knudsen ballast doors. The cars are used in service across the DM&IR as needed.
